Also follow me on:

I love to learn. And I love to share what I've learned with others. My articles have been read over 2 1/2 million times so I guess I must be doing something right.

I've always been a big reader and I've done a fair bit of writing over the years as well. My favorite genres are horror, fantasy, and science fiction, but I also have a passion for classic literature. Nothing compares to the greats like Proust, Joyce, Tolstoy, Kafka, Chekhov and other past masters.

Outside of reading and writing, my two main interests are video games and the nature of conscious experience and its relation to thought. I know. Weird. But I have spent a lot of time studying things like psychology, hypnotism, cognitive therapy, mysticism, philosophy, and literature. One of my big interests is the relationship between the fictional worlds we create for movies, books, games, etc., and the real world. Does escaping into virtual worlds impoverish our life or enrich it?

I currently write mostly about game design and issues affecting the game industry, but I plan on branching out into other areas as well. Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments.
